I've lost count of the number of times I've pressed Ctrl + C to copy something in some Microsoft Office app, flipped to another window or app, pressed Ctrl + V to paste, and instead, it pastes whatever had previously been in the clipboard. Annoyed, I flip back to the previous window, press Ctrl + C again, flip, paste, still doesn't work.
31. It seems like the shortcuts I've been using for years in previous versions of Word are not working anymore. For example Ctrl - Z, Ctrl - C, Ctrl - V are not working (there is Alt - Backspace, etc) and I have to learn new shortcuts. This is the thing I really don't want to do.
The data goes into clipboard correctly but when I hit CTRL-V, nothing happens. Clicking on corresponding line in clipboard pastes the data correctly. This has started happening more recently, it seems to me that at least copying cells to in-cell-edit fails consistently.

I use Excel regularly, but yesterday my Ctrl C and Ctrl V (copy/paste) were not working. It just puts a small c or small v in the spreadsheet instead of what I am trying to copy and paste. I googled this to death, and tried a few of the suggestions, but nothing is working.
